Week 1 - MKTG 6101 - Introduction

Hello everyone!

My name is Mariana Munguia and I am a recent graduate from California State University, Sacramento where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and received my BS in Public Health. I was born and raised in California and grew up in the Bay Area. Growing up in one of the most diverse cities in the nation has greatly influenced my education and career path. The health disparities that exist in my community are extremely apparent and that has pushed me towards completing my bachelors in Public Health and pursuing higher education. I am currently completing my Masters in Business Administration at Benedictine University with an expected graduation date of Fall 2023.

Outside of my academic life, I work for the Solano County Department of Public Health and actively volunteer for a nonprofit organization called Faith Food Fridays. I also own two dogs, a chihuahua and a Rottweiler, as well as a Sun Conure. The pictures above are of my chihuahua (his name is Donkey), my Rottweiler (her name is Beba) and my Sun Conure (her name is Lola). They are a crazy bunch but they always keep me entertained! Besides taking care of my many pets, I enjoy taking care of my house plants. I have been growing my collection for over seven years and have basically taken over every room of my house with plants.
