As you begin your business journey, one of the most important aspects to pay attention to is your customer. As stated in chapter 5, one must “acclimate to the voice of the customer.”
Learning what it is your customer is looking for and building the relationships with them is key to the success of your business.
In this chapter, 4 major decisions are made:
Acclimate to the Voice of Customer Camp
Is your company as customer-centric as your marketing content says it is?
How will you get to know your customer?
Culture of Accountability Around the Customer Experience
Are you willing to step back in order to move forward and acclimate to the voice of your customer?
At the end of the day, how will you define your customer experience?
Not only is it important to understand and acknowledge your customer and their preferences, but it is equally as important to implement changes within the company to reflect your company’s willingness to center around the customer and their needs.
Furthermore, creating a culture of accountability around the customer experience in your business will not only benefit your business internally (attract more customers - bring more business) but externally as well. In the ever changing world of business, customers are now more drawn to businesses that align with their ideals. Therefore, the more customer centered you are, the more successful you are. Even if that success is not apparent in the beginning.
